Federal High Court Nullifies Andy Uba's Participation in Anambra Poll

 Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja , in a judgement, held that Andy Uba emerged from an invalidly conducted APC gubernatorial primary election. 

The judge declared that by this ruling, the APC had no candidate in the Anambra governorship election. As the election was already conducted and Professor Charles Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA) emerged, the court directed that INEC should expunged its record of APCs Andy Uba participation in the said election.

 The US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) has approved GlaxoSmithKline’s HIV prevention injectable drug called Apretude. This is the first of its kind as before now drugs comparable to this were all oral tablets. The Hill reports that the drug, called will be available to at-risk adults and adolescents who weigh at least 77 pounds and have tested negative for HIV immediately beforehand. The agency’s endorsement opens up the alternative for patients to receive the injectable drug instead of daily HIV prevention oral medication, such as Truvada. Apretude instead requires two initiation injections, one month apart, and then shots every two months. The Hill further reports that two trials conducted across 13 countries determined that Apretude was more effective at preventing HIV infection than Truvada. ‘Sins of the flesh’ aren’t that ‘serious’ - Pope Francis

 Pope Francis has stated that lust is not the worst of the deadly sins. As earlier reported by New York Post, the highly revered religious leader stated that there are worse indiscretions than sex outside marriage. This followed the resignation of Michel Aupetit, the Archbishop of Paris, who quit after his relationship with a woman was made public.  According to the Pope, “It was a failing against the sixth commandment (You shall not commit adultery) but not a total one, one of small caresses, massage given to his secretary — that is what the accusation is,”  He also added, in reference to the action of Michel Aupetit  “There is a sin there but not the worst kind.” Pride and hatred, according to Pope Francis are top transgressions instead.       Pope Francis .
