Igbo People do not want Infrastructural Development - Chris Ngige
Dr Chris Ngige, an Igbo man from Anambra State and the current Minister for Labour in Nigeria stated in a Channels TV interview that his region is not interest in development projects but only care about appointments.
This statement coming from a once highly respected politician is a measure of how a Nigerian politician can easily misrepresent the interest and needs of his people in defense of the government they work for.
Our sources who have travelled widely across the south east region of Nigerian reported that this statement from Dr Ngige is strange and deceitful as the entire region calls for help from Onitsha to to Owerri.
Months ago, President Buhari visited Imo state to commission projects. Notable among the projects was a gutter that passed through Dick Tiger street to the popular Otammiri river. This project, classified officially as a Flood Control Tunnel reportedly built at the huge cost 2billion Naira.
The governor of Imo state and Dr Chris Ngige are all members of President Buhari's political party.
